Murphy Monday #7

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a fantastic Easter weekend with family, friends or loved ones. We had a fairly quiet week here. Murphy didn’t get in to anything too crazy.

Recently Murphy has been getting an upset stomach. We have taken her to the vet numerous times and the doctor says she is fine. No abnormal test results, nothing on the X-Ray, she is completely normal according to the professionals. We have been trying to figure out what is causing her tummy troubles and we haven’t been able to figure it out.

We thought it might be the amount of treats she was getting at her training classes, that wasn’t it. We thought, maybe, she was eating too much too fast, so we spread out her food over more meals, that wasn’t it. We thought it could be the type of treats she was getting, so we switched to an all natural treat, such as apples, carrots and celery. Yes, Murphy loves carrots and celery. More so than that, Murphy loves apples! She may freak out when the day comes that I put peanut butter on her apple pieces. We keep trying different things to get her tummy normalized. The only thing I can think of is stress.

Her training class has nine other dogs in it, I think the number of dogs is stressing her out. That stress may be causing her digestive distress. Who knows, her activity level remains normal so she doesn’t seem to be sick.

In other news, a bit of a Lucy update for you. Lucy and I have our therapy team evaluation scheduled for next weekend. We did a practice test with our dog trainer yesterday. There is only one thing that we need to work on as a refresher. Other than the one thing to work on, I think she is going to do really well during our evaluation. I will be sure to give an update once the evaluation is over.
